Ally Robertson, B.C.
I always believed that laughter
is the best medicine, even before joining Stand Up For Mental Health.... But I
never knew how much better it felt to give the laughter.
This group has
helped to encourage me to do the best with what I have, and to feel confidence
and acceptance, even with all of my idiosyncrasies.
Harold Lavender, B.C.
Harold has lived long enough
to appreciate the value of comedy. The world's and his own mental health problems
provide a reservoir of material. Last year he joined Stand Up for Mental health
and launched his latent comic talents on the an unsuspecting world.
Lana Cullis, B.C.
A member of the 2006 SMH class,
Lana is currently working as an employment counselor in the DTES. Diagnosed as
bipolar, she finds stand up an energizing outlet for the insanity that demands
creative expression.
